Key information for parents and carers

Drop off and pick-up times
Children are welcome every morning from 8am with breakfast being served until 9am.

All children should be collected from the centre no later than 5:45pm.

Running late
If you are running late to collect your child please make alternative arrangements and notify our team by calling 020 8527 0405 as soon as possible.

Drop off and collection by friends and family
Family members and friends are welcome to collect children with prior notification. In some cases a password will be shared that will have to be confirmed when collecting your child.

Tapestry
Tapestry is a secure online system that allows you to review your child’s progress. Only parents/carers and the team at Penrhyn have access to your child’s profile. Once you have received your username and password you will be able to log on to your child’s profile where photos and videos of your child’s day at nursery will be added. You will get an email notification when there is something new to view.

Potty training rules
If your child has been potty training at home for four weeks or more, then we are happy to begin potty training within the nursery environment. When your child is ready we can talk you through the process in more detail!

After school club details
We provide a after school care from Roger Ascham Primary School for Children that used to attend Penrhyn. Please contact a member of our team for more information.

Settling in process
Each child that joins us is required to settle in for a minimum of four weeks. This ensures that the child is as comfortable and happy as possible with their transition into the nursery. The timing and approach of the settling in period will be discussed with the parent/carer and may vary based on each child’s circumstances.

Menus
At Penrhyn we encourage a healthy attitude towards food and ensure all of the children in our care get a varied and balanced diet. Below you will be see a sample menu of what options are on offer every meal time.

Food allergies
We are happy to cater for children with allergies and dietary requirements. Please discuss the details of your child’s need with a member of our team before the settling in period begins.

Medications
If your child requires any medication the details should be discussed in detail with our team before the settling in period begins.

Children should not arrive at nursery having received any paracetamol or ibuprofen. If your child is unwell, please contact the team to discuss the best action to take.
